Always one to push the boundaries of cutting edgery, Bjork's seventh studio album is no different. Biophilia has been partly recorded on the ipad and will be released in the form of a series of apps. It will be the first "app album".The first single is Crystalline. Her powerful vocals swirl over raw electronics, reminiscent of the Bjork of yonder. The song emotionally meanders along, the constant presence of a creepy xylophone compliments the scouring and scraping beat. It's final 40 seconds are engulfed by chaotic DnB, a hectic climax to great first single.
